Automated multi-region orchestration for a global SaaS provider, ensuring 100% regional failover capabilities.
Project Overview
SkyScale required a multi-region setup to ensure zero downtime for their global logistics dashboard. We authored infrastructure blueprints using Terraform, deployed Kubernetes clusters, and set up real-time active-active database replications across AWS and GCP.
The Challenge
Handling active-active multi-cloud setups often creates database write conflicts and data divergence. The system needed a configuration where regional failover occurs under 15 seconds without losing transaction state data.
Our Technical Solution
We implemented a globally distributed database layer utilizing Spanner on GCP and Aurora Global on AWS, coordinated with Cloudflare Magic WAN. Routing rules check region latencies and automatically reroute API traffic when a region's health probe fails.

- Guaranteed 100% successful failover during simulating region outages.
- Achieved sub-15 second global DNS failover propagation.
- Maintained 99.999% platform availability across production schedules.
- Audited infrastructure changes using GitOps pull request loops.
